Computers Help In The Town Clerk's Office

Since the inception of the computer in the Town Clerk's office, I have worked tirelessly to understand changes in technology that affect all records. When I look back to the time when I took office, I am amazed by the changes for the better that have happened over that time.

Records that were all written out, from dog licenses, marriage licenses, hunting licenses and check writing are now being done with the use of the computer.

For example, it has made it much easier for the hunters to get their licenses and deer management permits. Once their information is entered into the computer, they no longer have to search the house inside and out to find their old license. The computer stores all their information. They no longer have to mail to Albany for their deer management permits. They will know immediately if they are lucky enough to be chosen to receive a permit.

Although technology has posed many problems in the past, it has allowed me to provide you with more efficient services.
