Levi Corser Park News

Tom Stevens, Park Commissioner
(From the 2009 newsletter)
Bristol's park is a very well maintained and used facility. Bristol Fun Day which is the second Sunday in June was a great success. Next year's celebration will be the 14th and if you are interested in helping organize the day, please contact the town hall

A new addition to the east end of the main pavillion will be started this fall. Ray Barend has again donated to be able to add an open addition to the building so in good weather the Fun Day band can be outside and appreciated by all. There is also a project being planned to replace the roof on the bathrooms and some other minor work.

Wayne Houseman has been a very integral part in keeping the park maintained and helping to improve the facilities. Wayne has pounded nails, picked up trash and even cleaned bird doo off the picnic tables. Thank you Wayne for your 12 years of service to the Town and the park. "Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass ..... it's about learning how to dance in the rain."

The main pavillion can be rented for $25 for Bristol residents and $50 for non-residents. If you want a reservation get them in early as it is rented most weekends. There have been family reunions, graduation parties, company picnics, a soccer benefit tournament, dog shows and even a kickball competition.

PLEASE REMEMBER - The park is a carry in, carry out and that also means clean up after your pet.
