(From 2007 Bristol Newsletter)

The Honeoye Area Senior Citizens Club is open to all Bristol persons age 55 or over and their spouses. Also, medically retired persons of an earlier age. Guests are always welcome. Dues are still only $5 per year per member.

We meet at United Church of Christ in Honeoye dining room on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 1 pm sharp. Occasionally, a meeting is cancelled if it should fall on a holiday, such a Christmas.

Every Monday there is shuffleboard at Sandy Bottom Park at 9:30 am. Call Doris Crossing at 367-3151. The second Monday of each month we have a large sheet cake to share with everyone present to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries in that month.

The Ontario County Nutrition Program dinners are served in the dining room of the United Church of Christ at noon, Mondy through Thursday. A donation of $2.50 is suggested, but not necessary.

In July we have a really nice picnic at Sandy Bottom Park in Honeoye. There is a beach, a neat pavilion if you wish to change clothes and swim, picnic tables for lunch and a lovely nature walk.

Our year around parties are Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, our club's anniversary party in September, Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas. Sometimes we have costumes for our Halloween Party but the last couple of years it has been fun and easier on seniors to "create a hat". Prizes are awarded for the funniest, lovliest and most original.

Trips are offered and sometimes shared with other town groups in order to fill a bus.

There is something for everyone and we hope the seniors from Bristol will join us as guests or a new member. Of course our meeting place has handicapped parking and entrance.
